ABOUT
The Heart Behind Ishta
A Second Innings, Seasoned with Love.
At Ishta, our story begins in a kitchen filled with the aroma of roasted spices and the warmth of a mother’s touch. But more importantly, it begins with a woman who decided that her "best years" were still ahead of her.
Our founder, a former teacher and dedicated homemaker, spent decades perfecting the art of Telugu cuisine learnt from her Mother-in-law recipes. After years of nurturing her family and students, she realized her passion for feeding people hadn't faded—it had only grown. In her mid 50s, she chose to step out of the quiet corners of a home kitchen and into the world of entrepreneurship.
A Legacy Continued
Ishta is more than a business; it is a tribute. Inspired by the memory of her late husband—a man who loved to make food, loved to give, feed and spent years running Restaurants and PG Hostels—she is carrying forward their shared passion for hospitality. His spirit of being a "giver" and his love for a good meal are the secret ingredients in every jar of Ishta.
